Q2 You are the manger of a restaurant that delivers pizza to college dormitory rooms.  You have just changed your delivery process in an effort to reduce mean time between the order and completion of delivery to 25 minutes, with a population standard deviation of 6 minutes.

At 0.05 level of significance, can you claim that the mean delivery time is 25 minutes?

Q3 A manufacturer of chocolate candies uses machines to package as they move along a filling line.  The company wants the packages to contain an average of 8.17 ounces so that virtually none packages contain less than the volume printed on the label.
A random sample of 50 packages is selected and examined.  The sample mean is 8.159 ounces with a sample standard deviation of 0.051 ounces.
Is there evidence that the population mean amount is less than 8.17 ounces, using a 0.05 level of significance?
